These will be gone through during the pre-assembly programmes. We'll be singing these songs over the next term for P1 and P2. Multiplication is covered in Term 3 and in P2, but these are just songs they can sing to inculcate an awareness of Mathematics language.

Track 1 (Number song)
I have got a niche in numbers no matter what you say
I have got a niche in numbers and it is going to stay in that way.
I have got a niche in numbers and so do you
Every one of us here has a niche in numbers too

I can count in units, tens, hundreds and thousands
I can count to ten thousands, hundreds thousands,

All the way to zillions cos they are finite numbers too.

I know what is algebra – is I don’t know.

I wonder what multiplication is really is –
1 time of 2 is 2

3 times of 2 is 6
4 times of 2 is 8
5 times of 2 is 10

Skip count, skip count, count by 2,
Skip count, skip count, count by 2,
Skip count, skip count, count by 2
Let’s count to 20
2, 4, 6, 8, then 10
12, 14, 16, 18
Finally we reach 20.
We counted to 20.

Track 4 (3 times table)
This is how the 3 times table song goes:

3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30
Oh it is great that we can skip count
Skip counting by 3.

Now, it is your turn to sing.
